Dodla Dairy is planning to set up a greenfield plant in Kantipudi village in Rajahmundry in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. The project involves setting up of a dairy plant with a capacity of processing milk of two lakh litres/day. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 700 million. The project is likely to go operational in 2018. The project will be funded through internal accruals and debt if necessary. It may be noted, the company got an investment of $50 million from the Rise Fund, managed by TPG Growth, in May this year. The Fund had acquired a minority stake in one of the PE funds.
