TCL Electronics is planning to set up a greenfield manufacturing plant in Tirupati near Chennai in Chitoor district of Andhra Pradesh. The project entails an investment of ? 20,000 million. The unit will have a capacity to roll out 3 million TVs per year. The company has signed an agreement with the government of Andhra Pradesh is also looking to foray into segments such as washing machine, refrigerator and air-conditioners next year as part of expansion of its product portfolio.
