Ramco Cements is planning to set up a greenfield cement plant in Kalavtala in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh. The project involves setting up of 3.16 million tpa of cement manufacturing facility with an investment of ₹ 2200 million.
It may be noted that, the company is also undertaking brownfield expansion programme at Jayanthipuram (expansion of production capacity of clinker from 3.10 to 4.6 mtpa and a waste heat recovery plant), expansion of grinding unit (0.9 mtpa to 2.0 mtpa) in Visakhapatnam and Kolaghat (0.9 mtpa to 2.0 mtpa) in West Bengal. It is also increasing the capacity of its Odisha grinding unit by 0.0 mtpa.
