New & Renewable Energy Development Corporation of AP Ltd is planning to develop 800 MW pumped storage project in Gadikota village in Kadappa district of Andhra Pradesh. The water for the project will be sourced from Mandavi river and Cheyyuru rivers. The project involves setting up of 4 x 200 MW Vertical, Reversible Fixed Speed Francis Turbine. The project cost is estimated at ₹ 2,141 crores. The estimated levelized tariff of power generated cost will be ₹ 7.14/-
