Jindal Group is planning to set up an integrated steel plant in Thamminipatinam in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh. The company has been allotted 826 acres of land for the project by the state government. The project involves setting up of an integrated steel plant with a production capacity of 2.25 million tpa. The project cost is estimated at ₹ 75,000 million.
It has formed a special purpose vehicle Jindal Steel Andhra Ltd to develop the project.
It may be noted that, the government has cancelled the land allotted for the Kineta Power and allotted the same to this project.
