VBC Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd is setting up a urea plant along with a captive 2×67.5 mw captive power plant at Jayanthipuram village in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh. The project involves setting up of Integrated Fertilizer and Chemical Complex comprising of Ammonia Plant 2 x 2200 MTPD, Urea Plant 2 x 3850 MTPD (Neem Oil Coated Urea Prills and Granules), Nitric Acid Plant 2 x 400 MTPD, Ammonium Nitrate Plant 2 x 500 MTPD. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 75780 million.
The company is awaiting land allotment of around 400 acres, whereas around 600 acres have already been allotted.
